Explanation of Photos
Project 1: this is the first project that i have for my photography course in florence. we are studying the alinari brothers, and their influence on florence. the assignment was to take pictures of buildings in florence...... so here are some of my "works of art".
Florence Scenery: these are just some snapshots around town. the body of water shown is the arno river, which separates the north and south of florence. some other pictures are of the swiss alps as i flew over them, and the amazing view from piazza di michaelangelo...... absolutely gorgeous!!
San Gimignano: today we went to this little village about 30 mins outside of florence. just on the outskirts of the area are the wine vineyards of chianti.... for those of you wine buffs, yes, this is THE chianti!! we took tons of photos of this ancient town, and of the beautiful landscapes of vineyards that surround it. i basically hung out with bonnie, michelle, and daniel (a new friend from hawaii) the whole time, so you will see some pics of us wine tasting and wondering. we also visited the museum of torture..... now that was interesting.
People: the picture with me and the older man is my host dad. we call him "babbo italiano" (italian daddy), and he calls us "figlie americane" (american daughters). he a very nice and funny guy. the picture of me and the two older guys are the president and administrator of our school here. fabrizio and rinaldo are a couple of fun guys who like to take us clubbing, and play along with our english accents. the two girls and the dog in the picture with me are olivia (titti and flavio's daughter), michelle (my roomie), and clarissa (the dog).
Funnies: these are just some fun pictures we've taken when we were in goofy moods. the cars here are sooooooo small, we just can't get over them!
